Latest Fine Art Print: Ranten II
Ranten Peak (1419m./4655ft.), Norefjell Mountain, Norway. March 2012. During the last mountain trips to Norefjell, every afternoon the wind would increase in strength, which made photography difficult, let alone downhill skiing. One afternoon, while there was little wind, I stood on a ridge and scouted for promising subjects through my tele-lens and discovered this frosted group of trees. Half an hour later, I was admiring the hardy group up close and hoped that they would make a nice subject as soon as the sun was lower in the sky. I felt a little distracted by the pair of snowmobile tracks in the distance, but as the low light graced the landscape, I felt that everything came together perfectly. Things are what they are, nothing more, nothing less. What do you think? Does the snowmobile tracks look distracting to you? Also see another photograph, Revelation, which is my favorite from that particular mountain trip, in this recent blog post: Latest Fine Art Print: Revelation.
Technical notes: This is the final result of the unprocessed, in-camera raw-file that I used as an example in my latest blog post: Tilt-Shift Dark Edge Issues? Read On....

Thank you very much, Milos and Richard!
I suspect that I`ve looked at the details in this photograph so much that the tracks became much more distinctive, for me, than for a fresh set of viewing eyes. A typical photographer`s error:-) I appreciate your feedback on this matter, and the photograph in general, gentlemen! Best Wishes Seung Kye
Hello Seung!
I think you have a very nice image here. I think you exposed it nicely and I particularly like the composition. The "up-view" creates a dynamic composition that leads the eye up from one element to another, but in my opinion, it is not too dynamic and it leaves a natural feel. The tracks do get noticed but I don't think they are distracting.
